Urban areas take up so much of some maps and I hate the way they look. Grey blobs of yuck! Do we draw the buildings or the city blocks. Would that look better? Right now anything could. We need some creative solution. Another aspect that needs work is the camino itself. Do we continue with the dots or maybe a line?
Also while I am moaning we need more hours in a day and our stupid new HD display is playing up. What is it with the camino and new tech.
The good news is that we have been asked to speak at the Victoria, BC, Pilgrims Gathering on the 24 of Feb. Something else to distract us from our Map.
Left over Paella for dinner. New receipt pork and chicken. Muy Rico
Back from our grand European tour & ready to get back to mapping. Fresh eyes after our long break mean that we keep seeing things that we can do differently, or better. So much so that we’ve decided to put back our publication date so that we can tweak our format and improve our design. It will also give us the opportunity to update the map with information from this year’s camino.
The bookshops of oxford have been surprisingly poor in terms of books on spain. Maybe it is just our library is too good. nothing to temp us. Although have found a great map of Spain in Stanfords in London.
Trying to get ready for the long trek home. Need to sort out everything once we get home and see where we are. I fear we are so far behind that we will need to delay publication until the autumn.
I have never eaten so well as I have the last two weeks in wales. The map drawing has fallen way behind. We will have to rethink our publishing dates. We had a very productive meeting in a pub. I think all strategy meetings should be held in a ancient pub that serves great ale. Over head the locals talking about “doing a boiler” not sure what that means?
