So the maps are almost done we have expanded the map-book by 14 or is 16 pages to now include accommodation and added two more city maps so we will have 6. We now have almost done the layout too. So progress is happening very rapidly. We still have to figure out where we are getting it printed. Don’t want to use a cheapo sweatshop so will us a canadian printer. Need to confirm the binding and what type of paper to use. Still loads more to do but we are getting there.
Even beginning to think about maybe going to Spain next year to do another route. Crazy.
Beside some tinkering and adding some arrows for hills the images for the map are almost done. Now we are concentrating on the layout and we have decided to add accommodation listings and 4 city maps (which have not been drawn yet!! Mild panic!!!)
We are now trying to organize the final push and have two weeks to check it over with a microscope!!
As we get nearer the end we are starting to come back to some our original questions. Like how many do we print? The answer is I don’t know? How much do we sell it for? Don’t know? Can we print it on recycled paper? Don’t know but doubt it as it will be 4 colour? How much cheaper would asian sweat shop printers be then canadian printers? Don’t know? Could find out I guess but as we have such a poor record with our preproduction readyness I would be really reluctant to go overseas. When will it be ready for the printers? Don’t know but soon ish? What next? Maybe the klondike trail to see yukon wendy!
